George Bolds was a kid from Indiana who traveled west in 1879 stopping in Dodge City Kansas, met Bat Masterson, and eventually became one of the great lawmen of the American West. He made his name in the cow towns of the Old West; Dodge City, Abilend, Ingalls, Mobeetie, and Cimarron. Along the way he met and dealt with lawmen Wyatt Earp and Bill Tilghman and bad men like Black Jack Gonzales, Jack Callahan, and Kate O'Leary. He survived the Battle of Cimarron and was in the 1889 Oklahoma Territory Land Rush.

Great cover art and original paper dust cover protected years ago with mylar plastic. Front hinge week with upper and lower small tears showing when cover opens.  Small stamp from Green Bay Library lower title page. Spotless interior otherwise.
