The title was derived from “The Washington Merry-Go-Round,” a popular column by Washington journalist Drew Pearson that was published in newspapers around the country from 1932 to 1969. Roberts’s book was profusely illustrated with drawings and portraits of legislators that made it an easy if not compulsive read. Illustrations by the International Photo-Engravers Union of North America - I.P.E.U. Wonderful typical of the era cartoons and illustrations. Scarce copy of a very interesting book.
