Norwegian illustrated humor book. Written by Stabenfeldt Printed in Norway Stock Press in Stavanger 1944 Paperback - 254 pages (pulp type papers) -- 8.5" by 6.25" First Edition A book that relies heavily on the humor of Jæren and the surrounding area. "There are not many in Stavanger who remember Theodor Dahl's name. Those who remember him remember him as a humorist. Theodor Dahl was born on November 4, 1886 in Time, dead 5th of 1946. As an adult, he lived for the most part in Stavanger. He began as a journalist in 1907 and debuted as an author in 1921. He is remembered best as a humorist. His fictional production was more serious, in the direction of Garborg. That book will not make you crazy but you enjoy yourself when you read." The book is showing wear to the covers as far as some minor soiling, bumped corners and spine ends. Spine ends both have tears. Cover is also loose at spine, note 3rd picture. But overall good with an extremely clean interior. Rough factory edge papers. The spine may be re-glued if new owner would like or leave as-is...still a very fun reliable read if one can read the language. I wish I could. Please see photos and email with any questions prior to purchase. Thanks for looking. International to pay most reasonable costs to your location. |
