Publisher: Not sure if published. Hand Typed Approx. size: 7.5" by 5.5" Georg Sverdrup 1848-1907 Georg Sverdrup, a prominent figure in Norwegian history. Sverdrup was a theologian, educator, and politician who played a significant role in shaping Norwegian society in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Sverdrup was born into a prominent family and became a prominent figure in Norwegian history. His eventual career led him to become a professor of theology at the University of Oslo. He participated in the Norwegian constitutional convention and one of the three authors of the final document. He delved into political activism, and worked as a member of the Norwegian parliament. He was involved in the movement for Norwegian independence from Sweden. He believed that religion had an important role to play in shaping moral values and guiding individuals towards a meaningful existence. This book is a unique and I believe scarce item that was hand typed and bound. If my translation is correct, this binding shows the title on the spine referring to 'The Hymns of Hymns' but the interior is Titled '"concise introduction to the Last Will and Testament" -- Kortfattet Innledning til det gamle testamentet kanoniske boger. A must-read for anyone interested in Norwegian history, theology, or education. Please see photos, enlarge and email with any questions. Thanks for looking. |
