Publisher : Engberg & Holmbergs 1878 Size: 5.25" x 3.5" - 400 pages Samlade och utgifne af swenska lufttryckföreningen This is a 143 year old Swedish song book published in Chicago by Engberg & Holmbergs Forlag in 1878. The book is in fair to good condition for age and is written completely in Swedish. Printed for those Scandinavian immigrants that found their way to the States. The previous owner's name shows up on the decorated endpaper and the next page. It appears to be L.J.O Carlsjon? of Brush Lake MN (Hubbard County MN) I consider this very good for the age. All but the title page is tight and intact. That page is loose. The page ends are gilded but are soiled, I believe with a light cleaning this will brighten. Pages 130 and 131 are darkened from soiling but still legible. The others are clean and clear of any writings. A few pages have bent over corners. Cover are boardered with gold gilt design. Blind stamped decorated covers and spine. Gilt lettering on Spine. Bumped corners and spine ends. Please see all photos and email with any questions prior to purchase. Thanks for looking. |
