After he emigrated to America in 1887. Ronning was a journalist and publisher who was associated with several newspapers and magazines published in Minneapolis. For several years he worked part-time for the Augsburg Publishing House of the United Norwegian Lutheran Church of America, he later published Christian literature for Lutherans and Scandinavian-American. Covers appear to be leather but hard to tell, thin and dry but not brittle, could use a light cleaning. Bumped corners. Interior clean of writings but show some soiling. Tight and intact.
