Carl Emil Seashore, born Sjöstrand (January 28, 1866 – October 16, 1949) was a prominent American psychologist and educator.
He was the author of numerous books and articles principally regarding the fields of speech-language pathology, music education, and the psychology of music and art.
He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, in 1891, having studied mathematics, music, classical languages and literature.
Previous owner inscription on front endpaper as well as two other older signatures that are scratched out in pencil.
Beautiful condition for the age. The book is a rare first edition with a dark red or burgandy cloth cover. Gold gilt lettering on spine is somewhat faded.
Slightly bumped corners and spine ends. Very little wear to covers. Page edges show some water staining from outside, not interior. Inside pages crisp and clean from any writings but slightly toned due to age.
