Size: 4.75" - 6.5" This pretty book was part of a ten book series was published somewhere between 1912-1915. It would be a treasure by itself or added to the collectible set. Bound in soft pliable velvet calf, this green book shows a gold gold harp on the front. Deckled page edges and dark satiny green endpapers. When new so many years ago it was sold in a gift box. 'A delightful look at childhood, written by master poet and storyteller Robert Louis Stevenson. In this collection of sixty-six poems, Stevenson recalls the joys of his childhood, from sailing boats down a river, to waiting for the lamplighter, to sailing off to foreign lands in his imagination.' To some who collect just the publisher, Altemus, this pretty book may not be top shelf, but as for the compilation of great poetry....it's a gem. This book is in very good condition for the age.
