Philosophers profiled are, in order: Plato (with a section on Socrates), Aristotle, Francis Bacon, Baruch Spinoza (with a section on Descartes), Voltaire (with a section on Rousseau), Immanuel Kant (with a section on Hegel), Arthur Schopenhauer, Herbert Spencer, and Friedrich Nietzsche.

This hardcover book bound in blind stamped black cloth (no dust jacket) with deckled pages. Front cover shows some soiling.  Edgeweare and slightly bump corners, age toned pages but clean and without markings outside of the previous owners neatly signed name first blank page.
