It begins with attacks on Norwegian islands; then moves to the Continent with the assault on southern Italy; the evacuation of Crete; the defeat of the French in Syria; the penetration of Rommel's line in Libya and assault on his HQ at St. Nazaire; the capture of Madagascar; the raid on Dieppe's heavy water plant; and the invasion of North Africa. With a Foreword by dashing Lord Louis Mountbatten. Written by Hillary Saint George Saunders (1898-1951), formerly a Lieutenant in the Welsh Guards, who won the Military Cross "for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty" after capturing an enemy post and garrison during 1918. Jacket shows wear to edges and corners. The book itself is very nice. Super clean interior other than a circle number on first blank page in pencil. Excellent collectible book for the military buff.
