Publisher: The Curtis Publishing Company 1925 52 pages -- Approx. size: 14" by 10.5" The Country Gentleman was an American magazine on farming and rural life published in the 19th century and early 20th century. An American agricultural magazine founded in 1852 in Albany, New York, by Luther Tucker. This is a hard to find edition and very good condition for it's age. The cover is what sets it off with a Easter bunny and her basket filled with adorable chicks. The edition has an early important author, Zane Grey writing The Deer Slayer. (It is the depiction of an actual event, the Kaibab Deer Drive at the Grand Canyon in 1924.) Also full of fabulous advertisements and important infor. for the era. Showing some wear at the staples. Slightly bumped corners. Clean and bright interior. Note that the cover has a fine tight closed cut from the top of the date edge to the bunny's back. Still a great magazine to frame. Please see photos, enlarge and email with any questions. Thanks for looking. |
