Harry Moore (pseudonym used by Burleigh, Cecil, 1850-1921)

Here is an authentic, rare piece of early 20th-century American print history. This is an original issue of The Liberty Boys of '76 (No. 433), published on April 16, 1909, by Frank Tousey publisher in New York.

This specific issue features the thrilling story: "The Liberty Boys and Captain Midnight; or, The Patriot Spy of Sleepy Hollow" by Harry Moore. It features a beautifully detailed, full-color illustrated cover depicting Revolutionary War soldiers and a dramatic horseback rescue.

Very good pre-owned condition. It shows typical signs of aging for a 115+ year-old paper periodical, including minor edge wear, minor chipping.  The cover illustration remains vibrant and highly displayable. Note the photo showing some corner creases.

Please review the photos carefully and email with any questions you may have.

Thanks for viewing.
