Silver gilt lettering on spine and cover. Inside, the book includes an ornate decorative title page and a sepia frontispiece illustration depicting two figures beneath a tree. Believed to be considered a Dresden classic volume. Classic feature of Donohue’s early 1900s bindings. Very nice early edition with bumped corners and some mild edge wear. Clean with gentle age toning; no marking. Frontispiece intact and well‑preserved. Very attractive antique copy with good shelf presence.
