From early boyhood Elmer H. Kreps took a great interest in hunting and trapping. As he grew older he visited various parts of the United States and Canada, and being a keen observer, picked up a vast amount of information about life in the woods and fields. Kreps wrote dozens of articles on various subjects connected with hunting and trapping. From my own collection this and other A.R. Harding books will be listed.
Signed on front black page by Laurence Hodgson. From an early estate purchase years ago, it was told to be signed by the Laurence Curran Hodgson, (November 6, 1874 – March 24, 1937), he was an American newspaper journalist, poet, and politician from Saint Paul, Minnesota. He served as secretary to both St. Paul mayors Winn Powers and Vivian R. Irvin, and upon the expiration of Irvin's term, he was elected mayor by a large majority. He served two non-consecutive terms as mayor from 1918 to 1922, and from 1926 to 1930.
Nice attractive light green cloth, black title and great illustration of camper and canoeing on cover. Note above; Previous owners name on first blank page.
Only very slight bumped corners and spine ends. Lightly toned pages due to age. Spotless clean and crisp interior.
