"Chips off the Old Benchley represents some of the most inspired writing the Old Master ever did; it is Benchley at his best, in his most wayward, unpredictable and hilarious moods."

Robert Benchley (1889-1945) was a hugely popular humorist, drama critic, and occasionally a film actor. All of the anthologies of Benchley's essays will give delight to readers having an interest in the social fabric of pre-1950 America.
This collection of his sketches is funny and insightful of the times, including political and social issues of the era.

Very Good. Hardcover with original jacket. Jacket shows wear, some tears and rubs. Book is very good, tight and intact with slightly bumped corners.
