It is full of information about drugs and their properties. Collection of formulas and recipes for medications, elixirs, liniments, etc. "Thoroughly revised and enlarged, by authority of the American Pharmaceutical Association." An official publication, issued first by the American Pharmaceutical Association and now yearly by the United States Pharmacopeial Convention, that gives the composition, description, method of preparation, and dosage for drugs. Also contains literature on herbs and medicinal plants. Whether you are a druggest or a new age naturalist, herbalist, this book is excellent for your library. Came from a long closed pharmacy drug store. Dark red hardcover with gilt lettering on the spine. Flash did not due the covers justice, so used natural light. There are a few minor bumps and bruises but minor. One spot of white paint to outer edge, front cover. Slightly bumped corners and spine ends. Very clean interior excepting the front endpaper show previous owners name in pencil: W.A. Scheir or Schier, University of Minn 1912, Phm B.
