There he met his wife Lina, a Swedish immigrant girl. They settled on a wild piece of land and raised eight children, while developing a productive farm. The author of this book, THE FIFTH KID, takes the story through the next generation. He shares his early life and school days, how he became owner the Greendale Farm. Very good vintage condition with only slightly bumped corners. This has a gift subscription in the front on title page and in pencil gift givers dated and signed names on contents page.
