Chicago, IL Scarce First Edition Hardcover. 124 pages Approx. size is 7.75 " x 5.5" Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Locomotive Firemen and Switchmen's Mutual Aid Association of North America. A scarce original hardcover first edition of 'The Great Strike on the "Q". Author was the ex-Yardmaster for C.B. & Q. Railway, and the Grand Organizer of the S.M.A.A. of N.A. History of the strike on the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad in March of 1888. Much on union activity. Bound in original maroon cloth with lettering stamped in gilt and design stamped in black. Decorated endpapers. A handsome, very good plus copy. Spine is showing a very, very minor fade. Slightly bumped corners and spine ends.
