Set in the United States Army, Sad Sack depicted an otherwise unnamed, lowly private experiencing some of the absurdities and humiliations of military life. The title was a euphemistic shortening of the military slang "sad sack of shit", common during World War II. The phrase has come to mean "an inept person" or "inept soldier". This seems to be in very good shape. The spine is a touch cocked. Cover and first page have a small crease at the lower right and a tiny tear on the right edge....see photos. Interior looks free of writing and is very good. Please see and enlarge photos and email with any questions prior to purchase. Thanks |
