Huge and beautiful children's book profusely illustrated with wonderful Victorian black and white graphics.

Scarce children's stories and poem book believed to be dating to the 1890s.

Brightly colored pictorial front cover with children peering up a chimney waiting for Santa. Gilt lettering 'Giant Story Book'. This shows a decorated cloth covering on the spine. Book is in very good condition for the age but does have bumped and worn corners, spine shows some damage on ends. A small worm hole bottom outer edges. The pages are toned due to age.

The book shows some wonderful old foliage and flowers pressed inside. One large fern leaf. Lovingly cared for and read I'm sure. Important to the previous owner. The only writing is in pencil first blank page, child's name and date December 1903.
