The Adventures of a Brownie follows the life of a friendly elf who lives in a family's coal cellar and the adventures he gets into with the members of the household.

Dinah Maria Craik (born Dinah Maria Mulock, also often credited as Miss Mulock or Mrs. Craik) was an English novelist and poet.

Green cloth over boards with black and red decorations on spine title and front cover title. Illustrations are black and white and wonderful. Book has been loved and read but is worthy of a spot on your shelf.
Bumped corners and spine ends. Torn at upper spine end. Some edgewear. Clean interior but front hinge broken and there are 2 or 3 pages loose but there.

PLEASE look at all the pictures and please ask questions before you purchase. Wonderful early book.

Thank you.
