Scarce edition. Fabulous illustrations that are to die for in this cute little hard to find book. Number nine out of the ten made in the Altemus' Banbury Cross Series. Color frontispiece, woodcuts throughout.

Cover is half pictorial cover with half vellum with a gold gilt pattern.  Endpapers are line drawn pictures with Children's characters. Showing bumped and worn at the corners and mildly at spine ends. This book belongs to is filled out with gift inscription and child's name but other than that, interior spotless. Very nice for the age.
