Published by Akron Saalfield 1931 This is a first printing of the Saalfield edition. 246 pages -- Aprrox. dimensions: 5.5" x 8" x 1" The Linda Carlton series is one of the hardest series of which to collect a complete set. Synopsis: Linda Carlton receives a brand-new airplane from her father for her high school graduation. Linda is thrilled, and immediately signs up for flight lessons. Linda had hoped that Ted Mackay would be her instructor, but Mr. Carlton forbids Linda from having anything to do with him. Mr. Carlton has had problems with Mackay's father, and is certain that the son is bad as well. Hardcover with original jacket. Jacket is good but does show some staining on inside edges and a few very, very minor tears. Book is good but same staining that shows on jacket is on edge of front cover. Note leaves in the rear of book. This has pages that are toned and the first blank page shows some minor open tiny holes. Otherwise very good piece of literary history.
