First edition of this well illustrated catalog. All the foot wear available from Doublewear in 1936 mostly for men with a few woman's and boys styles in the back. They included Kidskin, Calfskin, and Scotch Grain Oxfords, Dress Shoes, Hi-Cut boots and shoes, Policeman's Oxfords & Boots, Aviator's boots, Work boots, Boy Scout boots and more. The Doublewear Shoe company operated in Minneapolis, Minnesota from the 1920s until the 1980s. They were well known for their self-sterilizing Sanitized shoes, a company process which prevented formation of odors, and development of bacteria, as well as cracking and rotting of the leather. Softcovers, cover art in orange and black art deco design, white & black lettering. This catalog is in as mint condition as possible and shows staple binding.
