He found that the dust bowl of the dirty thirties didn't just disappear of its own accord when the rains came back, that many dedicated Canadians working in the agricultural field mounted a massive campaign to prevent the western farmland from deteriorating into a wind-blown wasteland of sand dunes, buckbrush and pasture sage". Book itself is in beautiful condition. Attractive green cloth with silver titles. Only very slight bumped corners. Many black and white photographs and clean interior. No markings. DJ shows very, very  minor wear at edges. Some very slightly soiling.
