Technical Manual No. 104
Approx Size: 10 1/4" by 7 7/8" by 3/8"
143 pages
“Pilot’s Weather Handbook” was written as a joint project of the U. S. Weather Bureau’s Training Section and Domestic Aviation Section. The actual writing was done by J. T. Lee, Meteorologist and Training Specialist, and Carl M. Reber, Meteorologist and Commercial Pilot. Many others also contributed their expertise.
This completely revised edition gives the pilot the authoritative source of information needed to prepare for the CAA pilot qualifications examinations and, more important, to help the pilot cope safely with the weather problems he encounters.
Includes information on basic concepts, temperature, pressure, moisture, air stability, clouds, winds, air masses, frontal weather, thunderstorms, icing and turbulence, fog and stratus clouds, weather observations and instruments, weather charts,
pilot's weather information, flight planning and weather, flying weather in the U.S., Sailplane weather as well as a Meteorological Glossary.
Very good condition. Please see and enlarge photos and email with any questions you may have. Thanks for dropping in!
